Brass Stump Shaper - Price: $75.00

Years ago Loren designed this tool to make murrini and sculptural shapes. Loren had this one made to his exact specifications. The beautiful laser engraved ¾ inch walnut handle is sturdy and the fittings prevent burning and spinning. It has a brass counterweight or you can also specify a fitting that will hold a bead as a counterweight. You can also specify an ojime bead made by Loren if you like. The shaper is 2 7/8 inches long, 2 inches wide (which is the standard length of the murrini components that Loren works with). It is cut with a full radius on one side, a tapered radius on the other and a sharp chiseled blade. The brass blade (opposed to the graphite) grabs the glass and moves it more aggressively and the metal holds a sharper edge without chipping.

Brass Stump Shaper Small Price: $65.00

This smaller version of the Brass Stump Shaper is ideal for bead making. The light weight design makes control much easier when working with glass on a smaller scale.

Graphite Stump Shaper - Price: $65.00

This was the first tool the Loren designed. In addition to making murrini and sculptural shapes the graphite is especially good to use for setting murrini chips and burnishing foils. Loren had this one made to his exact specifications. The beautiful laser engraved ¾ inch walnut handle is sturdy and the fittings prevent burning and spinning. It has a pewter counterweight and or you can also specify a fitting that will hold a bead as a counterweight. You can also specify an ojime bead made by Loren if you like. The shaper is 2 7/8 inches long, 2 inches wide (which is the normal length of the murrini components that Loren works with). It is cut with a full radius on one side, a tapered radius on the other and a chiseled blade. The graphite blade (opposed to the brass) slides on the glass and tends to not smear detail. The edge is more fragile and requires care to prevent chipping, but it can be resharpened with sanding.

Graphite Stump Shaper Small Price: $55.00

This smaller version of the Graphite Stump Shaper is ideal for bead making. The light weight design makes control much easier when working with glass on a smaller scale.

The Ring Price: $65.00

For years glass blowers have known that the easiest way to create a sphere is with a ring. This graphite ring has a calculated inside angle to easily push the glass into a sphere. The angle also provides a different diameter on each side (allowing you to work with different sizes (1 ¾ , 2 inches). By applying shallow heat and light pressure you can finish the sphere without leaving chill marks. Laser engraved ¾ inch walnut handle. Recommended for soft glass only.

Combo Ring Price: $75.00

This tool was made using the same principles as “The Ring” but it makes smaller sized spheres. The two holes actually create four sizes. ( ¾, 1, 1 ¼, 1 ½ inches). Recommended for soft glass only.

Stumpsucker Price: $300.00

Clearly, the best method for encasing any three dimensional object is with a vacuum process. This stumpsucker incorporates many improvements over Loren’s original design. From wall thickness, depth, shape, material, the number of holes, small more precise hole pattern, metal reinforced threads and more all work toward more successful encasements. The dimensions of this stumpsucker are designed for using 150 gram Schott gobs. Stumpsucker includes stumpsucker cup with perforated disk with ¾ inch laser engraved walnut handle, a graphite lid with ¾ inch laser engraved handle, hose assembly with filter and mouthpiece. This is designed to sit on a hot plate or stand alone. Optional kiln assembly package available.

Hot Plate Price: $40.00

Hot plate designed to warm stumpsucker.

Murrini Hemostats Price: $25.00

These are the “Real” murrini hemostats. They are beefy and 12 inches long. The are cut with just the right notch so they can be used to pick up many shapes and sizes from rods to pucks. The bend is just perfect for picking components up out of the kiln and for murrini assembly. This is a must have tool for pick up work.

Needle Nose Pliers Price: $5.00

Long narrow non-serrated pliers. Ideal for pulling stringer, pinching petals and peeling glass. Also great for fish fins and angel, bug and bird wings.

Pin Vice with Tungsten Hook Price: $14.00

Rounded shape of this hook is indispensible for sculpting human and animal faces. The properties of tungsten allow the repeated manipulation of the glass without sticking unlike stainless steel tools. 3/32 inch tungsten with laser engraved walnut handle.

Pin Vice with Straight Poker Price: $8.50

Hot glass does not stick to cold tungsten.
Hot tungsten does not stick to cold glass.
Hot tungsten can stick to hot glass.
Utilizing these characteristics tungsten can be made to stick to be used as a rake or feathering tool or poke a clean hole through a pendant or sculpture. 3/32 inch Tungsten with laser engraved walnut handle.

Blow Pipe Price: $25.00

This is not just a standard stainless tube. The added wall thickness makes this tube much heavier to retain needed heat for blowing small vessels at the torch. The inside diameter of the tube makes blowing a bubble easier. Laser engraved logo, 12 inch length.
